Jan 29. A much happier lime tree!

I might just have limes this year! One of my 2012 Bucket List items is to make my lime tree thrive. I brought in from the patio which I thought offered a nice mix of morning sun and outdoors. A lime tree wants outdoors, right?

Apparently not the wind tunnel outdoors that is my patio. I read that it prefers hotter and longer sun that it got and hates wind. Wind that blows away its delicate flowers and future limes. That happened to me a lot last year!

I also had it in a moisture control potting mix that seems to have been a bad idea as well. It was repotted, brought inside to a full afternoon sun window in my kitchen. I spritz it, water it twice a week, and cheer it on!

It is aborting some buds but from what I've read that can be normal when the tree makes more buds than it can handle. It made about 50 so I would agree that would be too many.

Jan 16. Two weeks after repotting...first signs of betterness!
